#indieauthors #writerslife #amwritingromance #RomanceReaders #paranormalromance Owl King Excerpt: He narrowed his eyes at Blade as the man righted his suit jacket. “Look, I don’t know what you want or why you felt it was necessary to perform this whole medieval circus routine, but I was not born yesterday. Maybe I do have some magic. Maybe you do too, but no one gives up a billion dollars just for a place to sleep. There’s not a chance in hell that you could be in charge of anything in my nonexistent realm. I don’t even know you.” “My king, I am oathsworn to serve you. Please, grant me a bit of time to explain it all. I will answer all your questions. I would serve you in whatever capacity you decide.” Blade offered. Armand eyed the man. He had questions all right, lots of questions about magic. He had been toying with contacting Lazlo Greyson in Chicago after he met with Savannah if he had questions she could not answer. He had a serious feeling that he had questions that no one could answer, but if this Blade could answer some of them, there was one less fool Armand had to deal with. He had time to kill. His meeting with the good doctor was not until late in the afternoon. “Fuck up or try to steal from me or mine, and I will kill you.” Blade grinned. “That I can deal with.” ![]() Some days are just writing days. Today was that day. The story is hot. So I went with it. Nearly 34,000 words. I like it. That usually means it is good. When I growl at it, means I need to rewrite, and it is not good. Outlines have never worked for me. I just have to let the story flow. But I can see a lot of the scenes here. So the writing is flowing nicely. In the spirit of getting back to that, I wanted to touch base with everyone. Still alive and still writing. In the meantime, if you need a good read, Filth and Death is available for preorder.
