My Life in Words Ophelia Kee Speaks |
Dallas is playing against Philadelphia for a spot in the NFL playoffs. The meat is boiling on the stove, and it is the Sunday before Christmas. That means Tamale making time. It has been a tradition for so long that if we don't make tamales on the Sunday before Christmas, I am not sure that Christmas can actually happen. The whole house smells of red chili, the corns husks are soaking in the sink, and I need to make the masa.
Traditions and customs are important. They are the things that make home, family, and community. So whatever your traditions are, I hope you are enjoying them with loved ones this holiday season. For the bookworms out there who also need an escape from all the holidays, even if it is only a few stolen reading minutes here and there, I hope you will consider escaping into the dream with Draoithe. There are eleven books out including two stand alone reads with the prequel and the forbye. If you need a good series or have not read through all of the books, consider that when you get a chance to relax, choose a book, and enjoy the escape. Merry Christmas! https://www.amazon.com/Ophelia-Kee/e/B07S8N34PD?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1571619739&sr=8-1 Be Careful! Happy reading, Ophelia Kee Welcome to Ophelia Kee Speaks. This is a blog chronicling my independent author walk. The journey into the dream has been a life-changing experience as I try to become a full-time writer and leave the professional world behind me. In my blog each day, you will find information on the ‘behind the scenes’ for writing contemporary adult fantasy fiction and paranormal romance stories set in the dream. I will speak on topics detailing with my writing, publishing, promotion, and marketing as well as social media dealing with my books, book trailers, book launches, book art, music, audio, and video, as well as shameless self-promotion. I am not an expert and am not claiming to be one. I am simply one writer offering a glimpse of my struggle to become a successful independent author. Thank you for considering my words.
