My Life in Words Ophelia Kee Speaks |
#indieauthors #writerslife #amwritingromance #RomanceReaders #paranormalromance What's going on behind the scenes at Draoithe? That is always the question. I know I mentioned that I was working with the chrome extension grammarly to clean up any lingering confusion due to grammatical errors in the books. All of the currently published Short Reads are currently in review and should be published shortly. All but four of the full length novels have been corrected and are also currently being reviewed or have been republished in the cleaner format. So work is actually being done despite the story overtaking everything yesterday! ![]() In other news, I am still working on the Storyboard Preview for The Ruiri Complete. I would like to have it out and available for readers to preview the book on Youtube, Pinterest, and Instagram before the end of the week. Cross your fingers. I am still growling at the fireside reads. I really want them, but I am not so great at crafting them. Back to the drawing board with that idea. Sorry folks, I will keep at it. I know some of y'all don't have as much time to read a whole novel and an audio taste might be nice. But it is taking far longer and is quite a bit more involved than I had originally believed it would be. ![]() Okay, I have to do it. Shameless self promotion everyone. If I did not promote the new book someone would complain. So here it is. Filth and Death is publishing Feb 24. Don't be mad, but the paperback is available now. I could not help myself, and I actually ordered author copies today. For my Kindle Unlimited readers it will once again be FREE! For all the rest of us, It will be releasing at the debut price. But with Synner and Saint moving to Kindle Unlimited in mid-March, I don't foresee the debut price lasting very long on this one. So grab the e-book soon to save 20% of the regular price. The Owl King has to stopped at just over 33,900+ words. It reads good. Here's an excerpt from the last scene: “Armand Saithe, Tiarna Ulchabháin.” The man bowed before him. “I am Fintan Rian, the dragon Blade. I have come to serve. Will you allow me to swear fealty?” Armand just looked at the man. What the hell was he talking about? A dragon? He was dressed too well to have escaped an asylum. But the idea that the man was insane refused to leave Armand alone. All right, there you have it. I am heading off to get some work done. Book Twelve is currently still demanding my attention and there are still four more novels to get the grammar check completed on. Remember to be kind and leave reviews if you read loves. I will catch you again on Hump day!
Be Careful! Happy Reading, Ophelia Kee Welcome to Ophelia Kee Speaks. This is a blog chronicling my independent author walk. The journey into the dream has been a life-changing experience as I try to become a full-time writer and leave the professional world behind me. In my blog each day, you will find information on the ‘behind the scenes’ for writing contemporary adult fantasy fiction and paranormal romance stories set in the dream. I will speak on topics detailing with my writing, publishing, promotion, and marketing as well as social media dealing with my books, book trailers, book launches, book art, music, audio, and video, as well as shameless self-promotion. I am not an expert and am not claiming to be one. I am simply one writer offering a glimpse of my struggle to become a successful independent author. Thank you for considering my words.
