Do you ever read one of my blogs and think, 'All Ophelia ever writes about is social media and her books.' Well you are not alone. (Pipe down all of you who want to raise your hand and add in about the reviews. That is absolutely necessary to be said on repeat so it sinks in.) The sad truth is that a lot of the story behind the books centers on social media as that is how I connect with a lot of you who have stepped into the dream to read. Since this blog is essentially addressing Draoithe and what is happening in the dream, it tends to be a predominant recurring theme. So once again, that is the primary focus today.
Today's image is the death of the content found on YouTube. I'm not killing the channel. I am just warning y'all that if you have been visiting it not to be upset if videos start disappearing. I will post new and improved content shortly. So stay tuned for that. When the new videos start going up on YouTube, I will begin replacing a lot of my pins on Pinterest as well. I am just not happy with the quality of my work there. I was excited about it when I first started building it. But it just does not feel as professional as I want it to be.
Obviously, I must have a shameless plug of the books. There is just no way around it. So here it is. Dream Therapy is live on Amazon. Buy it now at the debut promotional price. At midnight Feb. 23 it goes to full price. As always if you want to read it for FREE, it is available with Kindle Unlimited.
I've been working on a new stand alone novel as well. I think it is pretty good so far. It's about a third of the way done. I want to write a companion book to go with it, but I am not sure if I can release them both at the same time and make that work. I will try it. No dates on any of that yet. Sorry. No title or cover yet either. But I can give you a taste of the work so far.
I have to get back to it. But if you like it, I think it might publish later this year. I want to drop this one and Wendigo before the holidays. No matter what you read, I hope it makes you happy. Please be kind and leave your reviews.
Welcome to Ophelia Kee Speaks. This is a blog chronicling my independent author walk. The journey into the dream has been a life-changing experience as I try to become a full-time writer and leave the professional world behind me. In my blog each day, you will find information on the ‘behind the scenes’ for writing contemporary adult fantasy fiction and paranormal romance stories set in the dream. I will speak on topics detailing with my writing, publishing, promotion, and marketing as well as social media dealing with my books, book trailers, book launches, book art, music, audio, and video, as well as shameless self-promotion. I am not an expert and am not claiming to be one. I am simply one writer offering a glimpse of my struggle to become a successful independent author. Thank you for considering my words.
