Okay so I think I got it. Y'all cross your fingers, but I think maybe I finally got the upload right on the paperback for Filth and Death. You would think after having done this many times that I would have it all down pat by now. I thought that too. Wrong. I was so wrong. How I messed that up, I don't even know, but Whew. It might be correct now. I am waiting for Kindle to send me word back. You screw up one little thing like cutting off the footer on several pages and they refuse to print it that way. LOL. I still don't really understand how that happened. But I think I fixed it. If you love the ink on paper, I fully intended it to be available tomorrow. I always try to get it first.
In other news about Draoithe, I am continuing to upgrade the book trailers and improve the video content. I hope to get that all squared away over the next few months. The latest Storyboard Preview for Magic Calls to Magic is now available on YouTube and Pinterest. Check them out, like, subscribe, or follow. There will be more coming soon. Just give me time.
It's Valentine's Day! Gift giving is in order. If you have never visited Ophelia Kee, click over and leave your email address for a free short read. The Thread is the prologue for the Draoithe series. Don't worry. I am not one of those direct messengers always begging you for money. I have never emailed anyone about the books other than to let them know when one has been published, and if you simply follow me on Amazon or Kindle, they will notify you. Worst case scenario, I might send you a notice when my new duet books come out later this year. Let me see how busy I get. I don't really have the time for the spam messages. I hope you enjoy the backstory for A Pack Forms. That was the book that started it all!
Generosity is the name of the game on Valentine's Day. I don't have money to buy everyone heart shaped boxes of chocolates so I set up a limited time offer to grab your copy of Smoke of the Fire part 1 from Amazon this weekend. But FREE will turn into a pumpkin at midnight on Sunday. (Sorry, I write fantasy romance, the fairytale references just come out, okay? Okay.) Get a feel for my story telling style. If you like it, there are always links to other books at the end. My only request is, if you read, please be kind and leave your review. Indie authors struggle with that, but all authors will appreciate you for it. If you love it, share it with someone else who might also enjoy. Thank you.
I hope I did the shameless self promotion thing right today! On the writing front, google docs says that the novel I should not be writing is at 28408. I promised I would give snippets so you could get a feel for it. So here is today's writing excerpt:
Sexy. Beautiful. Just wickedly sexy. That was what Dr. Mesmer really was. Legs that went on forever in those tiny little heeled shoes. To die for ass that he wanted to spank before he defiled. Oh yeah. She was the picture postcard of all of the destinations he wanted to get lost in, and she actually smiled at him occasionally after his hypnosis sessions. That only made him crazier for her.
Okay, I gotta run back to writing. Enjoy the holiday. Enjoy a couple of free books. Have a great Friday!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Welcome to Ophelia Kee Speaks. This is a blog chronicling my independent author walk. The journey into the dream has been a life-changing experience as I try to become a full-time writer and leave the professional world behind me. In my blog each day, you will find information on the ‘behind the scenes’ for writing contemporary adult fantasy fiction and paranormal romance stories set in the dream. I will speak on topics detailing with my writing, publishing, promotion, and marketing as well as social media dealing with my books, book trailers, book launches, book art, music, audio, and video, as well as shameless self-promotion. I am not an expert and am not claiming to be one. I am simply one writer offering a glimpse of my struggle to become a successful independent author. Thank you for considering my words.
