Everyone will be home for Christmas. First one in the new house. I am excited. Having said that, it means less time for writing. I think I know who those people at Starbucks with their laptops are now. Some of them are authors trying to find a quiet place to write uninterrupted by loved ones who just do not understand being immersed in the story.
When I write, I see the characters in my mind as the story pours out onto the page in words. It is very much like watching a play or a television show in my mind. When the scene is flowing, writing is easy. (It is usually full of errors and needs filler details later, but the outline just creates itself.) Interruptions of that creative process actually seem to shut it down.
Maybe I will find time to write this week, but likely as not, it is looking like it might be time to do edits and rewrites. A bit of proofreading never hurts either.
Leonardo Carzoli is a rich asshole in a suit with a bit of a king fetish. Valerie is attracted to him, but he is way out of her league. The War Dog King thinks she is everything and proceeds to mess up everything. But that book needs a serious in depth edit. It's been a few months marinating. Time to review it.
Blogs are almost always spoilers, as they are all about what's happening in Draoithe.
As always if you purchase a book, please be kind and leave a review. Indie authors need that help.
If you are new to the dream, pull up a cozy chair and grab a book to escape into a paranormal romantic epic fantasy series. Merry Christmas!
