It's the first Monday of the Month. That means that it is cover reveal day here in the dream. Book Eleven in the Draoithe Series is scheduled to release Feb. 24th. It is a monster book at over 122,000 words with a kick booty story line. A guy you love to hate is back. Frank Grimes is slimy filth walking around as a man, but he won't be getting away with his criminal activities anymore. When Frank Grimes attempted to rape Ursala Knowles, Jace stepped in to save her. Flame took a beaten and unconscious Grimes back to Draoithe to face the music from the Dire Wolf King. Ursala Knowles had protection in the form of the Druid pack. What happens next is the crazy story of the rise of the least likely underking at Draoithe. That's enough teasing. I will tell you about the Assassin King later.
If you have not gotten a chance to read Dream Therapy yet, I hope I have not given too much away here. It is live on Amazon as an ebook and a paperback. It is FREE with Kindle Unlimited! Get it before the price goes up on Feb.23. Sorry about the shameless plug there, but hey a girl does have to advertise.
Now I know what you are thinking. 'She released a book called Filth and Death as a paranormal romance in February. She is still with her crazy covers that don't show skin too. There is something wrong with Ophelia even if her stories are good.' I hear that.
So in light of Valentine's Day, I wanted to offer a couple of FREE samples. Still Waters part 1 will be free from Amazon From February 5-9. If you are new to the dream, you can get more of a taste of my story style without sacrificing your email address. If you have been reading the novels but did not know about the short reads, here is your chance to check a couple of them out.
Short reads are the tangential stories that spin off of some of the novels in the series. They are stand alone reads, but knowledge of the series would enhance the reader's experience. Each short read book is designed to offer approximately 45 minutes of read time. Smoke of the Fire is a three part short read and part 1 will be FREE Feb 12-16.
As always, the short reads are free with Kindle Unlimited. The regular price on Amazon is $2.99. It's a bit of a gamble, no? They are only short reads. So I tell you what. For the rest of this month starting tomorrow. I am dropping the price on the parts of the short reads to $.99. I don't want anyone to get discouraged from reading a good book because of the price tag. If you like the short reads and you have never looked at the novels, check them out. They are far more in depth than the short reads, but the story is also far better developed. It's a trade off. There are currently three short reads out. Weaver's Tale is the longest at four parts and is a spin off story from Synner and Sainte. Again not having read Synner and Sainte will not detract from the story, but you may find yourself wondering about the story in the Forbye.
No matter what you read, I hope you will remember to be kind and leave a review. In the Indie Author world that I inhabit, reviews are precious gold and beautiful gemstones. On behalf of authors of all genres, Thank You to all of you who leave reviews. Gotta run off and get some work done. Y'all have a great Monday.
Welcome to Ophelia Kee Speaks. This is a blog chronicling my independent author walk. The journey into the dream has been a life-changing experience as I try to become a full-time writer and leave the professional world behind me. In my blog each day, you will find information on the ‘behind the scenes’ for writing contemporary adult fantasy fiction and paranormal romance stories set in the dream. I will speak on topics detailing with my writing, publishing, promotion, and marketing as well as social media dealing with my books, book trailers, book launches, book art, music, audio, and video, as well as shameless self-promotion. I am not an expert and am not claiming to be one. I am simply one writer offering a glimpse of my struggle to become a successful independent author. Thank you for considering my words.
