My Life in Words Ophelia Kee Speaks |
![]() It's Thanksgiving. I am supremely thankful for my family and the turkey we are eating today. But this is generally a blog about books so I will try to keep it that way. Draoithe: Synner and Sainte will come out Dec, 12. This book is set in the world of Draoithe, but it will be a stand alone read. It is a forbye. There is a novella story about a devil, a warhorse, a tricorn and a kingdom in the Leaindeail called Blar Elding. It connects with Draoithe, but not until after Peter Elliot finally meets justice. Nope, not giving that away, but I am including deleted scenes at the end of the forbye. So for those readers who have picked up the series and would like to see the stuff from some of the books that are out but wound up on the cutting room floor, pick it up.Information about Ryker and Luke before Eli are in the book. The scene where Luke sniff's Artie is in the book too. The scenes where Fox loses Artie to a vampire are also in that book. Check it out. Before I get to rolling my enchiladas, I want to say thank you to everyone who is reading on Kindle and to everyone who has purchased my books. The readers are what authors are thankful for on Thanksgiving. It would not be a blog about Draoithe if I did not remind everyone that book nine dropped on Monday. If you need a good read after the Black Friday shopping, pick up Draoithe: Fire and a Gryphon. https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B07ZWMF77R&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_SG.2Db0MQA7EX&tag=parksullivan-20 Be careful! Happy reading, Ophelia Kee

It's November 25. Thanksgiving is almost upon us. I am super thankful for a lot of things. My family will be together for the holidays. Turkey enchiladas are a real thing. But in the world of books, Draoithe: Fire and a Gryphon published today!
Book nine is available on Kindle everybody! I was just going to write a short series, three or four books. There's a prequel and a forbye is coming soon. Book nine is enormous. It's 115,000 words. It moves the story of Draoithe into a future where serious magic is possible. Luke gets his first visit from an immortal group outside of Draoithe and learns of hybrid in serious need of rescue. He needs an ambassador in the worst way. Will Spark be able to claim her bear and help her friend become the ambassador that Draoithe needs? https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B07ZWMF77R&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_SG.2Db0MQA7EX&tag=parksullivan-20 I hope everyone enjoys their holiday. Spend time with family, eat too much, enjoy your life. If you need an escape over the weekend, pick up a copy of Draoithe: Fire and a Gryphon and walk into the dream. Be Careful! Happy reading, Ophelia Kee The Book Trailer for Draoithe: Tantalu is live on YouTube! Check it out.
https://youtu.be/L6ftwijRGX4 This prequel is a cute, fast read. Feel free to share the links, leave reviews or drop me a line about the books anytime. It is an ongoing labor of love. The improvements are coming. Draoithe: Fire and a Gryphon Book nine is coming out Nov. 25. Draoithe: Synner and Sainte is tentative for Dec. 12. The dream continues! Be Careful! Happy reading, Ophelia Kee Today, I finished the write for Draoithe: Synner and Sainte. It is a Forbye. It will be $.99 and it looks like a tentative publish date is Dec. 12. It is Draoithe's version of a Christmas story, but the edit still has to happen.
Enough of that. What this is really about is search engine optimization. It is still Greek to me. But I have to say Thank you to my brother for helping me get the web page verified by Google. (Like should that not be automated when you pay for a website?) Seven hours later, a lot of ridiculous snapshots of computer screen images, and a billion google hangouts messages, my brother fixed my web page issue. This all started because I found out about keywords for Amazon. (Thanks to Dave Chesson and Kindlepreneur.) I got to wondering if keywords worked on other things. I had to add them to the book trailer for Draoithe: A Pack Forms. So that led to an understanding that I needed keywords all over the place. (like each individual page of this website.) But that in turn led to search engine optimization. (Which I still do not understand.) Having said that, I think I should get back to what I do understand. The dream and Draoithe. Book nine Draoithe: Fire and a Gryphon is on pre-order on Kindle. It is coming out Nov. 25. Buy yours early and have your reading material for the holiday week already to go. Be careful! Happy reading, Ophelia Kee The musician known as Prince once changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol. He did not do that just to be different. He did it to pursue his intellectual property rights through the courts.
As an Indie Author who has from the beginning been all about actually doing it all myself (mostly due to total lack of funds for any other option), I have been careful to invent names by researching the meaning and cobbling various names together from tombstones. (I love cemeteries.) I wrote the score for the commercial that is on YouTube. I altered the tiger image from a picture I took of a tiger at a zoo. The images in the books and in the commercial and on the book covers all came from either my own camera or were royalty free images from the internet. The wolf that represents Javier in A Pack Forms is actually a picture of an old dog of mine that was altered for the book. I admit all this freely because I am guilty of the ridiculous. I walked out to my truck last night and took the rosary from my rear view mirror where it has hung since I bought the Moonlight. I brought it into my office and took pictures of it. So when you see the cover of Draoithe: Synner and Sainte, laugh. I did. It is not always easy to get the right images. A lot of romance books use images of real people. The ones where the image is black and white with only one other color just for the character's eyes or something is really cool. But that stuff costs money that I don't have. The stories are good even if the images are a bit unorthodox. The next time you see a Draoithe book cover and wonder if it is indeed a paranormal romance. It is. But sometimes the cover goes deeper than a pretty face. The cover on Draoithe: Light and Dark Magic for example is the creek that Blaze rolls up his pants to wade in with Grace. Both Logan and Charlysse pray the rosary in Synner and Sainte. If you have been reading and wondered about the covers, now you know. They are handcrafted one of a kind Ophelia Kee originals designed to pull out some element in the book. Also, I am seriously trying to avoid stepping on anyone else's toes, intellectually speaking of course. Hats off to all the artists in the world who make life better. Be careful! Happy reading, Ophelia Kee What if the only way to protect your people was to figure out how to recharge ancient gargoyles? Marchand is sent out on just that mission, but his orders were tampered with. Even after he protested, he was still required to finish the mission. The trouble he gets into lands him at Draoithe, a prisoner unable to leave when his life mate shows up being attacked. The woman his crimes were against becomes his unlikely ally if he will only help her claim a bear. The Ri ruirech wants him to swear fealty and become Draoithe's ambassador. Spark is literally fire as a woman. But after a vision she saw with her sister, she is sure her bear is coming for her at Draoithe. She has to learn about shifters and try to save her friend from the fade. While she waits, the idea of building sentinel gargoyles gets bandied about as an extra layer of protection for the people, and she and her sisters begin the process for combining their magic to build a full compliment of fated mate stone guardians. ![]() Draoithe: Fire and a Gryphon On sale now! So there is a prequel to the Draoithe series. It is title Tantalu.

So what happens if the author needs to write another prequel? What do you call that? It can't be prequel 2. That's like a series before the series. (Feels a bit like Star Wars.) The second prequel is not a sequel to the first prequel, but it does happen before Draoithe rises. The proper term is Forbye. It deals with the events that occur in 1016 and later in 1087 that lead to the rise of the secret devil kingdom of Blar Elding in the 1500s. While the incubus of Tantalu are licking their wounds at Talamh Marcra after the Incubus/Satyr war, a separate series of events occur involving a hedgewitch, her devil son, a turned Cheval Mallet, and a young tricorn stallion and are taking place in the Leaindeail. All of which will be revealed at Draoithe nearly a thousand years into the future after the fall of Peter Elliot. Draoithe: Synner and the Sainte is a forbye. It is an extra book with important information outside of the actual series involving characters from the series but long before Luke ever meets Eli. Asmodeus and Leviathan, the twin demon lords, Leon Vadim, the red dragon known as Flare, and the Leaindeail Oracle, Cerie, will all make cameo appearances. It will answer a lot of questions, but leave the reader with more questions that will require reading further into the series. Draoithe: Synner and the Sainte is likely being released in December 2019 and will sell for $.99. Watch for updates on an exact date! Be careful! Happy Reading, Ophelia Kee |
