Book Seven Everyone!

Hello Readers,
I spent the weekend reviewing the final drafts of Draoithe: The Dark Gift. Book Seven has been long awaited, but we are waiting for Kindle to say we are live. It will be available both digitally from Kindle and in paperback from Amazon for those who still love the smell of ink on paper and the glue that binds the pages as part of the whole reading experience.  I swear there is something to be said for dogeared pages in a well loved manuscript.
The house hunt continues, and I must return to the day job soon. Don't cry for me though, pray instead. I still hope to launch Book Eight by the end of September. I will try to keep on top of that. But over the next few days, all the original books will be newly branded so that the covers take on the format from the newly released Book Seven. For those of you who are still looking for the prequel, give me a minute longer, and don't be mad if it is a bit shorter than the books in the series. But we are shooting for that book to be released shortly as well.
I'm excited to say that we are very close to being able to offer multiple promotions throughout the year. I wish I could just be the storyteller all the time and never worry about the day to day aspect of life, but sadly, I must still buy my top ramen to survive. I have been where the budget said no new book, so I will try to ensure that at least one of the books is promoted for less each month soon.
Thanks to all my readers. If you have any questions or comments, drop me a line on any of the contact points and I will try to get back at you soon.
Be Careful.
Happy Reading,

Waiting, Dr. Seuss was right!

Hello Readers,
I am still waiting on word back as to whether or not a trustee will accept my offer on a house that I made last week. It's the weekend so I likely will not hear anything until Monday. I have officially found the waiting place once again. Dr. Seuss was right. No one wants to get stuck in the waiting place. At this rate, I feel as if I am waiting for the snow to snow! It's July and I'm in Texas. It really could be awhile, right? This is bid number three. Cross fingers that this one goes through.
Why do my readers care? Well, if I could buy a house, I might just be able to quit my day job. If that happened, I could write more and publish faster, and for all of you who wish to get lost in the dream and visit the world of Draoithe,  you could do it more often. So sorry if you are tired of hearing about the house hunt, but it do weigh on the mind a bit.
We are still working on OpheliaKeeYarns. I would like to get it up and running on Etsy before Christmas for those of you who might need an update on the other side of OpheliaKeeEnterprises. Don't give up! Patience possibly of the immortal kind might be necessary, but see we wound up back at the house. I literally need more space for everything.
But back to the real reason any of you even bother to read this blog page, Draoithe.  So I started a prequel.  The tentative title is Tantalu. (That means tantalization in Irish Gaelic.) It will likely be released alongside book seven Draoithe: The Dark Gift. Spoiler alert. It is a stand alone read. For most of you, except the editors and beta readers, the characters will be brand new, the setting will be brand new, and the story will not feel the same as the other Draoithe works. But a little backstory sometimes helps with later books in the series. It will be a bit shorter than most of the books. Likely running around 60 to 70 thousand words. I will be posting it to all four venues and leaving it up. It will sell for $.99 all the time.
Don't forget to check out the new Book Branding in a few weeks. I wanted the books to all be easily recognizable. Okay, I need to get back to writing the story. But the excerpt from Tantalu will be on the extra stuff shortly.
Happy Reading whatever you read.

So I bought a blog page!

Hello readers,
I bought and paid for my blog page today! It was a pretty penny, but we are good for two years now. I wanted to write this Friday, but I was in Austin at my son's college orientation. But as usual sitting in the hotel just writing the prequel book I decided I wanted to write, I found out that the house I was trying to buy had title issues. So I went house hunting again. It was an incredibly long weekend and needless to say there is a mountain of laundry now.
But the good news is I made an offer on another house. They say the third time is the charm. I hope so. If we get lucky and God loves us, I will move Ophelia Kee Yarns to East Texas. I have to learn how to become an LLC soon. The bad news is, I can't quit the day job anytime soon. So sorry, but until I can do that, things will remain slow.

I think I want to post the stand alone books on all the sites I can, but I intend to put the Draoithe series on only Kindle for awhile so I can promote better. We are also going to rebrand all the books covers when we release book seven at the end of July. Book Seven is one of the best. If anyone out there has any ideas, I am all ears.  Click on the contact page and leave me a message someway or another. I will try to get back at you as soon as possible. But there is that pesky day job! So please forgive me if it takes me a minute.

Y'all have a great week. I will try to post again on Friday. Check back to see if we have added anything new to the site in the meantime. I will try to get you an early peek at the prequel book if you you want to read it on the Extra Stuff page.

Happy Reading Everyone!

Hello and Welcome

I love to write.... my stories. I have never written a blog so we will see how this goes. Bear with me if you read this post and wonder if I lost my mind. (Maybe I never knew where it was to begin with.) Rest assured that I will get this figured out. I figured out how to publish as an independent author so blogging can't be that hard. Right? The first six books are out. I will be putting up the links to the books as soon as I figure out how.

I will try to be a good writer and post all the news for all my readers. But I have to be honest, sometimes the story presses me to write it, and I get lost in that instead of other stuff. So I am asking for forgiveness in advance for that. To make up for it, I will try to post the scenes that got cut. I know it's a novel series, but I write the story in scenes. Okay, they aren't deleted scenes truthfully, but rather extra bits like the sketch of the dream that Scorch draws for Gwen. Wait! That book is still being edited. Maybe a word list would be helpful. I had someone ask me for a Draoithe dictionary. Check back and see what I figure out next.

Read! It's the best addiction.
